Commercial flooring - our carpet tiles are completely suitable for offices as they are hard wearing, easy to fit; and they are self-adhesive so they're cost effective. If one tile is damaged or badly stained, it's easily replaced, which avoids the expense of having to replace a complete carpet. We have chosen Burmatex as they have a huge range of grades and colours and can be washed.
We also provide vinyl tiles which are available in a choice of stone or wood effect, and for these we recommend Karndean - Please See Our Page Dedicated To Karndean.
Laminate flooring it now a very popular option and is the fastest growing type in the wood flooring industry. It is, in essence, paper which is imprinted with a very high quality photographic image of wood, terrazzo, marble, ceramic or terra cotta; it is then laminated onto HDF (High-Density Fibre) board. This gives the illusion of whatever you choose it to be similar to, and is often difficult to differentiate between laminate and wood, ceramic etc.
The laminate outer surface is then coated with a long-lasting protective sealant, which is as a rule a very high scratch resistant aluminium oxide finish. This gives it a really durable flooring material that is inexpensive and is easy to keep clean. In fact, the thicker quality laminate floors, when walked on, actually sound like hardwood floors!
Quality laminate floors are by and large, more stain, scratch and water resistant than hardwood floors, as well as less effort to keep clean and are more durable than wood flooring.
